• Onsite consults with variable endoscopy needs

Duration: ASAP - Ongoing

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call

Schedule: 8-hour days on-site plus beeper call; one week on, one week off rotation

Clinical Details:

• Adult inpatient consults only


• 5-10 patients seen daily


• Hospital has 141 beds


• Call response time: 30 minutes


• Call back volume: 5 10 per month


• No admissions required


• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology


• Active FL license


• ACLS


• Clean history


• Must be available to start before end of July

Skills Needed:

• Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, variceal injection


• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision


• Lower GI endoscopy


• ERCP and PEG preferred but not required


• Preferred: esophageal dilation/manometry, sigmoidoscopy, EUS, liver biopsy, and Blakemore tube management
