Why This Role?

• Level 1 trauma center with high-volume inpatient and outpatient services


• Consistent 7-day monthly assignments with full support staff


• Robotic surgery and advanced urologic capabilities on-site

Duration: ASAP - Ongoing

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call

Schedule: Friday to Friday, monthly; clinic M-F 8a-5p, beeper call 5p-8a; weekend call Saturday 8a to Monday 8a; orientation held Thursday prior to first shift

Clinical Details:

• Outpatient and inpatient urology services with call responsibilities


• 16 patients per shift; department has 14 beds


• Call ratio 1:5 with 30-minute response time


• 3 5 patients seen, 3 admissions, and 15 20 phone consults per call shift


• EMR: Cerner


• Support: 8 MAs, 4 APPs, 1 office staff

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology


• BLS


• Must be able to commit to full 7-day blocks (Friday to Friday)


• Clean history

Skills Needed:

• General adult urology (pediatric preferred)


• Laparoscopic surgery, ureteroscopy, prostatectomy


• Robotic surgery (preferred), partial nephrectomy with intraoperative ultrasound


• Incontinence procedures, ESWL, renal/bladder ultrasound with biopsy
