Duration: ASAP - Ongoing

Coverage Type: Call Only

Schedule: Beeper call, 1:3 call ratio; 30-minute response time

Clinical Details:

• Inpatient call coverage with admissions required


• 8 LDR and 16 postpartum beds


• Average of 4 patients and 4 admissions per shift


• 5 10 phone consults per shift


• EMR: Medhost


• Trauma Level 3 facility


• Support includes 4 RNs and 2 APPs

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OBGYN


• Active AL license or IMLC


• Clean history

Skills Needed:

• Routine and complicated deliveries including C-section, breech, multiples, VBACs, and abruptions


• Decision-making and performance of operative deliveries (low forceps, C-section)


• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation


• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations


• Preferred: office gynecology and surgical gynecology (open, laparoscopic, major procedures)
