Locums - Interventional Cardiology - Call Only - La Porte, IN
Why This Role?
- Urgent need for STEMI call and inpatient coverage starting July 4
- Call-only role at a full-service community hospital with ICU and hospitalist support
- Flexible ongoing shifts available with emergency credentialing
Duration: July 1, 2025 - Ongoing
Coverage Type: Call Only
Schedule: Beeper call with 30-minute response time; immediate coverage needed July 4 at 7 AM through July 17 at 7 AM
Clinical Details:
- 85-bed hospital with 12-bed ICU and intensivist support
- 24/7 hospitalist coverage
- Call involves both assigned and unassigned inpatient rounding
- Expected: 10 15 patients seen, 5 admissions, 10 phone consults per shift
- EMR: Cerner
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
- Active IN license or IMLC
- ABLS
- ACLS
- BLS
- Clean history
Skills Needed:
- Cardiac catheterization, angioplasty (PTCA), stent placement, atherectomy
- Echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology
- STEMI intervention and ICU-level cardiology care
- PA catheter and IABP placement
