Position Overview
A community teaching hospital in Connecticut is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director of its Internal Medicine Resident Outpatient Clinic. This key leadership role includes clinical supervision, faculty responsibilities, and involvement in curriculum development for a university-affiliated Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily clinical operations and educational activities in the Internal Medicine Outpatient Clinic
Supervise and precept internal medicine residents and medical students
Collaborate with subspecialists and clinical faculty to enhance interdisciplinary education
Participate in curriculum design and resident evaluation
Promote wellness and leadership among faculty and trainees
Hold a faculty appointment at a regional medical school (rank dependent on qualifications)

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Eligible for or holds Connecticut medical licensure, DEA, and controlled substance registration
Qualifications to obtain and maintain a medical school faculty appointment
Strong communication, teaching, and organizational skills
Commitment to academic medicine and serving vulnerable populations
Demonstrated ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical-academic environment
