**Locums General Surgery PA - Springfield, MA**
**Coverage Need**
- Assignment Dates: 3-6 month assignment starting as soon as credentialed; possible extension
- Schedule: Full-time nights only, including weekends and holidays
- No call required
**Position Details**
- Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based
- Patient Population: Adolescent, adult, geriatric
- Case Mix: General surgery, bariatric surgery, some vascular and gynecologic surgery
- OR Team: 8 PAs, 10 physicians, full complement of support staff
- EMR: Epic
- Annual ER Volume: 90,000
- Credentialing Timeframe: 30-40 days
**Submissions Requirements**
- Active Massachusetts license
- NCCPA certification required
- Experience required (no new grads):
- Clean malpractice / background history
**Skill Requirements**
- Proficiency assisting in general and bariatric surgical procedures
- Experience with inpatient post-op care and rounding
- Ability to work independently on night shifts
