Position Overview
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a 9-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina to provide 24-hour call coverage. This role is focused exclusively on hospital-based consultations and emergency GI procedures. This opportunity is ideal for physicians looking for light call volume in a well-supported setting.
Key Details
- Call Only – No clinic or outpatient responsibilities
- Typical procedures: GI bleeds, colonoscopies, EGDs
- Low call volume expected, but availability for emergency consults/procedures is required
- All ages – Inpatient consults only
- Supported by full hospital staff
Requirements
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active NC medical license
- DEA, ACLS, and ATLS required
- Inpatient GI procedure experience preferred
