**Duration**: ASAP to Ongoing
**Coverage Type**: Call Only
**Schedule**: Primary need 8/21/25 to 8/30/25, plus ongoing future availability

**Clinical Details:**
- Inpatient cardiothoracic surgical service
- EMR: Epic
- Beds in department: 167
- Patients per shift: Variable (typically 4 5 seen, 4 5 admissions, 4 5 phone consults)
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Call ratio: 1:2
- Support staff: 3 PA/NPs, 1 MA, 1 office staff

**Requirements:**
- Board eligible
- Active MN license or IMLC
- ACLS, ATLS
- Clean history

**Skills Needed:**
- General CV/thoracic surgery - open and endoscopic
- Coronary artery bypass surgery - on and off pump
- Congenital defect repair (ASD, VSD, PFO)
- Valvular repair and replacement
- Aneurysm repair (cardiac and aorto-thoracic)
- Lung resection including VATs
- Chest wall, pleural, esophageal, and diaphragm surgeries
- AICD placement, LVAD, TAVR, CABG
- Ventilation management and bronchoscopy
- Central, arterial, PA catheter, and IABP insertion
- Evaluation of acute volume/BP issues

- This position does not require vascular surgery coverage separate vascular service in place
