**Assignment Details**

- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Schedule: 14 shifts per 28-day period
- Shift length: 24 hours (12 on-site, 12 on-call)
- EMR: Epic

**Clinical Details**
- Setting: Inpatient, clinic, and OR
- Inpatient rounding, ED/inpatient consults, surgical first assist, clinic follow-up
- General surgery and trauma call coverage
- Procedures include laparoscopic, open, and robotic surgeries, endoscopy
- Average hospital census: 160 patients/day
- Population served: 16 counties, 200,000+ residents

**Team Structure**
- Physicians: 2 general surgeons + 1 EGS surgicalist (as of June 2025)
- APPs: 2
- APP supervision expected (by EGS surgicalist)
- Support: 1 clinical staff per MD, 2 receptionists per department
- 2 exam rooms and 2 procedure rooms per provider

**Requirements**
- Board certified
- Active IA license or IMLC
- Must be comfortable with inpatient consults, OR assist, and trauma coverage
- Clean history

**Skills Needed**
- First assist in OR
- Inpatient and ED consults
- General and trauma surgical management
- Endoscopy and outpatient follow-up
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced hospital setting
