Job Details:
Coverage type: 24-hour beeper call (inpatient)

Call ratio: 1:3
Response time: 30 minutes
Avg. patients seen: 2 per shift
Avg. admissions: 2 per shift
EMR: Athena & Meditech
Beds in department: 10
Support staff: 6 RNs, 1 NP/PA, 2 office staff
Temporary privileges available (clean history required)
Credentialing timeframe: 5 days
Must show 100 deliveries & 50 GYN cases in past 24 months
Preference for drive-in candidates

Required Skills:
Low & high-risk pregnancy management
OB ultrasound: Level I & II
Amniocentesis
Vaginal delivery (including low forceps)
C-section & complicated deliveries (breech, VBACs, multiples, abruptions)
Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Surgical GYN (open and laparoscopic, including ectopic, cystectomy, LOAs)
FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)

Preferred Skills:
Office GYN procedures: IUD, colposcopy, cryo, LEEP
Laser certification

Requirements:
VA license or IMLC
Board certified or board eligible
Clean malpractice history required
IMLC accepted
BLS required
Will accept multiple providers
