**Locums | Cardiothoracic Surgery PA | Call Only | Wausau, WI**
**Why This Role**
- Daytime surgical call support at a high-acuity facility
- Temp privileges available to accelerate start
- Opportunity to first assist, round, and perform advanced procedures based on skillset
**Assignment Details**
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Call Only
- Schedule: Daily 6:00am-6:00pm (end time varies), 1:3 weekend rotation
- EMR: Epic
- Call Type: Beeper
- Call Ratio: 1:3
- Call Response Time: 20 minutes
**Clinical Details**
- Setting: Inpatient
- Department Beds: 15
- Patient Volume: 2-6 patients/day, 1-3 admissions
- Support Staff: 3 RNs, 1 MA, 2 PA/NPs, 8 office staff
- Trauma Level: 2
- Stroke Certified Facility
- Weekend coverage includes rounding, with ability to leave post-rounds (subject to callback for emergencies)
**Requirements**
- Licensed in WI
- ACLS and BLS required
- Clean history
- Experience with cardiac surgery preferred
**Skills Needed**
- First assist in OR (as needed)
- Vein harvesting
- Inpatient rounding and consults
- A-line, central line, chest tube placement, thoracentesis (preferred)
**Compensation Info**
- Rates: Not published - facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided and paid for by Archway Locums
- Travel Expenses: Reimbursed
