Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Location: Quincy, Illinois (Remote candidates considered)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Remote
Position Overview:
A well-established and collaborative Behavioral Medicine service is seeking an additional Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a dedicated team of mental health professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a tight-knit group known for its supportive culture and low turnover.
With outpatient appointments currently booked 4–6 weeks out, the need for an additional provider is immediate. Both in-person and remote candidates will be considered for this role.
Practice Highlights:
Outpatient focus with the option to support inpatient services if desired
Strong interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, PMHNPs, and therapists
Access to inpatient services licensed for a total of 41 beds:
10-bed Adult Behavioral Medicine Unit
16-bed Adult Psychiatric Service Unit
15-bed Child & Adolescent Unit
Modern facilities with natural lighting, semi-private and private rooms, and therapeutic spaces including indoor/outdoor gyms
Inpatient and outpatient units are adjacent, allowing for seamless continuity of care
Provider offices located in a connected medical office building for convenience
Position Details:
Full-time outpatient behavioral health practice
New patient appointments are high in demand
Support from experienced staff and low provider turnover
Work collaboratively with a stable, trusted, and growing team
Option for remote/telepsychiatry services
Qualifications:
Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Illinois
Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient behavioral health preferred
Strong commitment to team-based care and patient-centered practice
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
