Job Summary
To provide dental hygiene services and oral health education in both clinical and community-based settings.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative
- Monitor quality of patient care and recommend improvements
- Assist in developing oral health education programs for community partners
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Dental Director
Clinical
- Deliver preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene services
- Educate patients about oral hygiene and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Stay current on best practices through continuing education
Billing
- Accurately code all procedures post-visit
- Ensure prior authorizations are secured for applicable procedures
Other
- Contribute to outreach initiatives and health equity efforts
- Support team-based, integrated care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
- Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Ability to complete credentialing and participate in a range of insurance plans
- Administrative experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and English language proficiency
