**Assignment Details**
- Coverage Type: Call only
- Call: Both inpatient and ER, 1:3 ratio, 20-minute response time
- Average 8 phone consults/day, 3 patients seen/day, 1–2 admissions/day
- EMR: Athena and Cerner
- Trauma Level: N/A
- Location: Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC
- Lodging: Courtyard by Marriott Hickory

**Clinical Details**
- Primarily adult neurosurgery
- Mix of cranial, spine, and emergency consults
- Support staff: 3 RNs
- No APP supervision required

**Requirements**
- Board Certified in Neurological Surgery
- Active NC license
- ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS
- Clear history

**Skills Needed**
- General Neurosurgery - Adult
- Preferred: cerebrovascular (open and endovascular), carotid/vertebral artery surgery, aneurysm clipping, tumor surgery (including neuroendocrine), stereotactic radiosurgery (functional and seizure), VP shunt, skull base surgery
- Preferred: spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
- Preferred: peripheral nerve surgery, pain procedures, endovascular procedures, ICP monitor placement, external traction, ventilator management, central line placement

**Compensation Info**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided and paid for by Archway Locums
- Travel Expenses: Reimbursed
