Job Description
We are seeking a Hospitalist for locum tenens coverage in Illinois. This role involves full inpatient hospitalist responsibilities in a collaborative environment with ED and ICU backup. No procedures are required, and temporary privileges are available.
Here’s a quick overview:
- 10+ day shifts per month
- EMR: Epic
- Admit and manage patients admitted to the hospital
- Serve as primary point of contact for patients, families, and the care team
- Coordinate care throughout the hospital stay
- Handle all floor codes (ED available for backup)
- Manage patients in an open ICU with eICU support
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Active Illinois Medical License
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- DEA and Illinois CSR required
- Minimum 1 year of hospitalist experience
