Job Description
We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to provide part-time weekend locum coverage in Illinois.
Assignment Details:
- Schedule: Weekends – Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 7:00 AM
- Estimated Shifts per Month: 12
- Setting: Hospital-based, solo coverage
- EMR: Epic
- Provide full interventional cardiology coverage, including:
- Cardiac catheterizations
- PCI and related interventional procedures
- STEMI call coverage (required)
- Participate in the hospital’s STEMI auto-accept program for regional patients
- Perform necessary Cath Lab procedures for inpatients
- Consult with hospitalist and ICU teams for admitted patients
- Collaborate with other employed and PSA cardiologists
Requirements:
- Licensure: Active Illinois medical license, CSR, and DEA
- Certifications: ACLS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year
- Board Status: BC/BE in Interventional Cardiology
- Must be comfortable working solo and handling STEMI call coverage
