Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing inpatient neurology team. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP with a strong background in stroke and general neurology to deliver high-quality care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Shifts per Month: ~20
- Call: None required
- Practice Setting: Inpatient Neurology
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities:
- Inpatient rounding on neurology patients
- Performing new patient consults
- Managing stroke alerts and responding to acute ED and transfer evaluations
- Pre- and post-operative management of endovascular cases
- Intermittent clinic in-basket management
- Collaborating with attending neurologists, hospital staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
Requirements:
- Active Illinois license (NP or PA)
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Minimum 1 year of neurology or related APP experience
- DEA, ACLS, and BLS required
- CSR license required
