**Assignment Details**

- Coverage Type: Call Only
- Schedule: Beeper call coverage
- Patients per Day: 10–20
- Call Details: 30-minute response time; single coverage; ~20% call back rate; 5 phone consults per shift; 2–10 admissions
- EMR: Cerner

**Requirements**
- Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Active AZ license
- ACLS and BLS
- Clean record and DEA

**Clinical Details**
- Scope: Full-spectrum gastroenterology inpatient coverage
- Typical Procedures:
- Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeder cautery, variceal injection, PEG placement)
- ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic preferred)
- Small bowel biopsy
- Colonoscopy with biopsy/polyp excision
- Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
- Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management (preferred)
- Support: 5 RNs on staff

**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
