Job Description
We are seeking a Locums Hospitalist Physician to provide coverage at multiple hospital sites near Midland, Michigan during the months of July through September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled internal medicine or family medicine-trained hospitalist with a flexible schedule and a desire to work in a supportive, high-quality healthcare environment.
Position Details:
- Location: Multiple hospital facilities near Midland, MI
- Availability Needed: July through September 2025
- Scheduling Options:
- 3–4 day stretches preferred
- Day Rounding: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Admitting Shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Night Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- EMR System: EPIC with Dragon dictation
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct inpatient care including daily rounding, admissions, and overnight coverage
- Coordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, and case management
- Respond to acute changes in patient condition
- Complete documentation in EPIC using Dragon voice recognition
Requirements:
- Completion of an ACGME-approved Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Licensure:
- Active Michigan medical license, or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) eligibility
- Prior inpatient hospitalist experience preferred
