Locums Hospitalist Medicine Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums Hospitalist Medicine Physician to join our team in Terre Haute, IN. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an open ICU with support from a pulmonologist and responding to codes.

 

Assignment Details

 

• Shift Schedule: 7 consecutive shifts, 7 on / 7 off
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Call: Rotating call responsibilities
• Coverage: Days, nights, and weekends
• Start Date: Ongoing coverage
• EMR: Meditech 

Position Responsibilities

 

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care to hospitalized patients
• Respond to hospital codes and work collaboratively with nursing and specialty teams
• Manage patient admissions, discharges, and daily rounding
• Work in an open ICU setting with pulmonologist support
• No procedures required
• Ensure thorough and timely documentation in Meditech EMR

 Requirements

 

• Education & Certification:
• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM) or Family Medicine (ABFM)
• Experience:
• Prior hospitalist experience preferred
• Comfortable managing patients in an open ICU setting
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Indiana medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Additional:
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
