Locums Interventional Cardiology Physician

We are seeking an experienced Locums Interventional Cardiology Physician to provide 24-hour call coverage at a well-established hospital in Orem, Utah. This role involves comprehensive inpatient cardiology care, including STEMI coverage, daily rounds, and consult services, supporting a busy cardiology program.

 

Position Details:

 

• Schedule: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Coverage Type: Inpatient – rounding, consults, and emergent cases
• Practice EMR: Meditech

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Provide 24/7 STEMI and cardiology consult call coverage
• Conduct daily rounds on all assigned inpatients
• Manage a wide range of adult interventional cardiology cases
• Perform TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document all patient care activities in Meditech

 

Requirements:

 

• Board Certified in Cardiology by the American Board of Cardiology
• Active Utah Medical License – required
• Active DEA registration – required
• Demonstrated competence in managing all adult interventional cardiology cases, including TEEs
