Locums Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Locums Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant to provide inpatient trauma care coverage in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This role supports trauma services at a well-established facility, with flexible scheduling options and a strong clinical team environment.

 

Assignment Details

 

• Shift Options:
• 7:00 – 7:00 (12-hour shifts)
• 7:00 – 3:00 (8-hour shifts)
• Coverage Requirements:
• Up to 8–9 days per month of on-site trauma or back-up coverage
• Weekday and weekend coverage needed
• Includes inpatient rounding and trauma service support 

Clinical Details

 

• Daily Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patients
• Trauma APP Role: Inpatient rounding and trauma coverage
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based, Level II or III trauma environment
• EMR System: Meditech Expanse 

Qualifications

 

• Active PA license (New Hampshire preferred or willing to obtain)
• ATLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior trauma surgery experience highly preferred
• Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced trauma setting
