**Locums-to-Perm | PA Cardiothoracic Surgery | Hampton Roads, VA**
**Why This Role**
- 100% adult cardiothoracic surgery practice with inpatient and outpatient mix
- Training provided for smooth onboarding
- Opportunity for permanent placement after locums assignment
**Assignment Details**
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: Ongoing (Locums-to-Perm)
- Minimum Commitment: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation
- Practice Mix: Inpatient 75% / Outpatient 25%
- Weekend Rounds: Yes (5–10 patients)
- On-Call: Nights weekly, 2 weekends per month
- EMR: Epic
- Privileges: Yes, required
- Estimated Credentialing: 90–120 days
**Requirements**
- Board Certified or Eligible
- Training and experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Active VA license
- Active DEA
**Clinical Details**
- Adult-only cardiothoracic surgery coverage
- Inpatient rounding (5–10 patients daily)
- Outpatient clinic consults and follow-up visits
- Procedural and surgical first-assist responsibilities
- Night call and weekend inpatient management
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
