Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Fredericksburg, Texas. This assignment offers 12-hour shift coverage with both day and night shifts available. Position Details:

 

• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Coverage: 24-hour coverage (AM and PM shifts)
• Assignment Type: Ongoing locums, considered prn or “as needed”- no finite contract end date.
• Patient Population: All ages- Rural setting
• Annual ED Volume: 10k- 12k
• EMR System: Meditech

Travel: All travel expenses reimbursed 100% on top of rate (flights, hotel, mileage or rental+ fuel, parking, tolls)

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of acute conditions
• Work collaboratively with nurses, APPs, and support staff
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation 

Requirements:

 

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM preferred; will consider FM/IM with EM experience in rural settings)
• Active Texas medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current DEA
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Emergency Medicine experience required
