Locums Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide ongoing night shift coverage in a Level III NICU at a leading medical facility in Bismarck, ND. This opportunity offers a consistent schedule with a focus on high-acuity neonatal care and collaboration with a dedicated NICU team.

 

Assignment Details

 

• Shift Schedule: Night shifts, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (16-hour shifts)
• Coverage Needs: Primarily Friday – Monday nights
• Ongoing coverage available for the right candidate
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• On Call: Not required 

Practice Setting

 

• Inpatient hospital-based role
• Level III NICU, managing critically ill newborns
• Work closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and NICU nursing teams 

Responsibilities

 

• Provide comprehensive care for neonates in a Level III NICU
• Perform advanced neonatal procedures, including:
• Intubation
• Central line placement
• Peripheral arterial line placement
• Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate neonatal resuscitation and care
• Participate in ground and fixed-wing air transports for neonatal patients
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary NICU team to deliver exceptional, family-centered care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care 

Requirements

 

• Board Certification: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
• Licensure: Active North Dakota Nurse Practitioner license
• Certifications:
• DEA registration
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program
