Locums General Surgery Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Locums General Surgery Physician Assistant to join our hospital-based surgical team in Novi, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-volume OR setting with advanced technology, including three DaVinci robotic systems, supporting a variety of surgical specialties.

 

Position Details:

 

• Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (typically 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., flexible start/end times)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirements: None
• On-Call Requirements: None
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based OR with 20+ operating rooms and 3 DaVinci robots 

Responsibilities:

 

• Bedside first-assisting in robotic surgical cases, including GYN, urology, general surgery, and bariatric procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR (Cerner)
• Participate as an integral member of the surgical care team to optimize patient outcomes 

Requirements:

 

• Board Certification: NCCPA
• Licensure: Active Michigan PA license
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS – required
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years with robotic bedside first-assist experience in GYN, urology, general surgery, and bariatrics
• EMR Experience preferred
