- Balanced hematology/oncology practice with outpatient and inpatient mix
- Strong team environment with physicians and APPs
- Long-term locums assignment with perm potential
**Assignment Details**
- Start Date: November 1, 2025
- End Date: Ongoing (perm potential)
- Coverage Type: Clinic + Call
- Schedule:
- No call required during locums
- Perm role includes 1 week of call every 6–8 weeks
- Setting: Free-standing cancer center with inpatient consults
- EMR: Epic
- Privileges: Required
- Estimated Credentialing: 60 days
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
- Patient Volumes:
- Outpatient: ~25 patients/day
- Inpatient (on call): ~20 patients/day
- Team: 7 physicians, 6 APPs
**Requirements**
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- Active SC license (or willing to obtain)
- BLS
- DEA
- Must be submitted under both job IDs to be considered
**Clinical Details**
- 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology
- Tumor board participation
- Bone marrow transplant management
- Blood bank involvement
- Ordering and interpreting labs/imaging
- Prescribing
- Oversight of chemotherapy (administered by nurse oncologists)
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
