Locums Anesthesia Physician

A busy medical facility in Marlborough, Massachusetts is seeking a locums Anesthesiology Physician to provide full-time weekday coverage. This is a dynamic role with a blend of bread-and-butter, OB, thoracic, OBGYN, and complex general cases. The practice uses a 1:3 supervision model over CRNAs, but physicians can also perform solo cases if desired.

 

Position Highlights:

 

• Coverage Type: Full-Time Locums
• Team Structure: 8–9 anesthesiologists on staff daily
• Case Types: Bread and Butter, OB, Thoracic, OBGYN, Complex General
• Schedule:
• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM start (8:00 AM on Wednesdays)
• 10–12 hour shifts
• OB Call (In-House): Potential – 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
• Supervision Model: 1:3 with CRNAs, optional solo work available
• Call: OB call optional; no other required call at this time 

Requirements:

 

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active Massachusetts Medical License – Required
• BLS and ACLS – Required
• Comfortable managing a broad range of case types including OB and thoracic anesthesia
• Prior supervisory experience over CRNAs preferred
