**Why This Role**
- Join a busy cardiovascular surgical team with high procedural volume
- Full-time weekday schedule with weeknight and limited weekend call
- Opportunity to work alongside an experienced CV surgery team of multiple APPs
**Assignment Details**
- Start Date: January 1, 2026
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Schedule: 4x10-hour days; weeknight call + ~1 weekend per month
- Setting: Inpatient (cardiovascular surgery service + OR)
- EMR: Cerner
- Privileges: Required (no temporary privileges available)
- Estimated Credentialing: ~30 days
- Support Staff: 9 APPs, RN and surgical tech support
**Requirements**
- Board Certified Physician Assistant (CVTS experience required)
- Active Florida license
- Previous cardiovascular surgical experience
- Proficiency in endovascular vein harvesting (required)
- Must be available for full-time coverage
**Clinical Details**
- Assist in all aspects of cardiothoracic surgery cases in the OR
- Provide inpatient support and participate in call coverage
- Expected to be skilled in vein harvesting and perioperative management
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
