**Why This Role**
- Provide neurosurgical inpatient coverage at a Level II trauma center
- Flexible block coverage with temp privileges available
- Work alongside established neurosurgeons with PA support on weekdays
**Assignment Details**
- Coverage Dates:
- November 27, 2026 (7a) – December 1, 2026 (7a)
- December 24, 2026 (7a) – December 29, 2026 (7a)
- Coverage Type: Inpatient Only
- Schedule: 24-hour inpatient call coverage
- Setting: Hospital-based, inpatient only
- EMR: Epic
- Privileges: Required; temp privileges available
- Estimated Credentialing: 60–90 days
- Trauma Level: II
- Patient Population: Adults only
- Average Surgical Cases: Varies
- Group Composition: 2 neurosurgeons
- OR Support: PA assists Monday–Friday
**Requirements**
- Board Certified in Neurosurgery
- Active South Carolina license and DEA (no exceptions)
- 100% clean background (no exceptions)
- Strong prior experience; no new grads
- Must be available for both sets of coverage dates
**Clinical Details**
- Procedures:
- Adult neurosurgery cases
- Trauma-related neurosurgery
- Brain bleed management
- Spine procedures including laminectomy
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
