**Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)**
**Location: Norwich, CT**
Shift Detail: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview:
An opportunity is available for a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a collaborative team providing comprehensive psychiatric care. The role involves evaluating and managing psychiatric disorders, coordinating patient treatment plans, and working closely with psychiatrists and care teams to deliver high-quality behavioral health services.
Role Scope:
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychiatric disorders.
• Provide medication management, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
• Ensure timely follow-up care, referrals, and case management.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for integrated care.
• Complete clinical reminders and maintain accurate patient documentation.

Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program.
• Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Connecticut.
• National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient psychiatric NP experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
