Abrazo Surprise Hospital, a new type of community hospital for the west valley scheduled to open June of 2020. The eight-inpatient bed hospital offers 24-hour emergency care as well as the ability to perform surgical procedures with around-the-clock general surgery, hospitalist and emergency physician coverage. Designed as a neighborhood hospital focused on convenience and efficiency, the facility is smaller in scale than a typical general hospital. Like its larger Abrazo sister hospitals, it will include a surgical suite, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and other services. Patients requiring more complex care can be transferred to the Abrazo Arrowhead campus.
