Located in the heart of Mayfield, Jackson Purchase Medical Center is a 107-bed acute care facility that provides medical services to the people of Mayfield and Graves County and surrounding areas. The hospital is the sole provider of acute care in Graves County and draws patients from the eight counties of the Jackson Purchase – the section of land between the Tennessee and Mississippi River that President Andrew Jackson purchased from the Chickasaw Indians in the early 1800s.
