Howard Magruder, a banker and resident of Port Clinton, established the Magruder Trust before his death in 1937, and it was with those funds that H.B. Magruder Memorial Hospital (Magruder Hospital) opened in 1940. Magruder is a nonprofit 25 bed Critical Access Hospital serving a rural population as the only hospital in Ottawa County. Magruder remains an independent community hospital with approximately 400 highly trained employees and is led by President & CEO Nick Marsico, Chief Nursing Officer Kim Schreiner, Chief Financial Officer Julie Hauk, and Executive Assistant Dana Lynd, with oversight from our 15 member Board of Trustees.
