Overview:
Tennova - Clarksville is a 270 bed medical center, located in Clarksville, Tennessee.  As one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the area, Tennova Clarksville provides treatment to over 65,000 patients annually.  The department has 43 beds, private care patient rooms, and a CT scanner to provide immediate access to services. The ED has 45 hours of physician coverage and 55 hours of Allied Health Provider (AHP) coverage daily. Here are some facts about Tennova Clarksville:
  • 9 hour shifts
  • 14% admission rate
  • On call services: GI, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Cardio-thoracic Surgery, Nephrology, ENT.
  • EMR - Cerner
  • Bedside Ultrasound 

Requirements:
  • Tennessee Medical License
  • Board Certification (NCCPA, AANP or ANCC).  Nurse practitioners must be Board Certified to care for all age ranges of patients.
  • At least one (1) year of Emergency Medicine Experience
  • Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certification
  • DEA License with Tennessee registration

Clarksville is the fifth-largest city in the state with a population of 151,000. The city was Tennessee's first incorporated in 1785. Clarksville is home to Austin Peay State University and neighbor to Fort Campbell, United States Army base.
  

Compensation:
Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) are employees of VEP.  They receive an hourly base rate and an opportunity to earn productivity compensation at specific sites.  APCs are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, vision, dental, and life insurance, profit sharing, 401k, CME and license allowances.  Our APCs also enjoy the benefit of flexible schedules, paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage and the opportunity to become a shareholder which allows them to become actively involved in the governance of the company.
