ICMS is seeking an experienced, compassionate Physician Assistant, with direct experience in emergency medicine, or a rural clinic setting with urgent care, and a passion for family practice. This is a full-time, permanent position.

ICMS is a well-established health center with an experienced leadership team, dedicated board and staff that not only care for the community but also call it home. The medical center serves nearly 1,500 patients annually from all walks of life and of varying socioeconomic backgrounds. Our supportive programs include behavioral health, outreach and enrollment for health care coverage, physical therapy and dental services.

Vinalhaven, Maine

We offer you a truly unique experience - living on a scenic island 12 miles off the coast of Maine and practicing the full spectrum of family medicine with the support of strong leadership and experienced clinicians. Vinalhaven has a year-round population of 1,200 residents, which grows to more than 4,000 in the summer. The island has a K-12 school, renovated library, restaurants and stores, a working waterfront, miles of public access to the shore and a vibrant artistic community. Outdoor enthusiast enjoy local hiking, fishing, swimming, biking, boating, sailing, snowshoeing and kayaking. A ferry ride, or short flight to the mainland opens the door to endless experiences.

Job Summary

Put family back in family medicine by treating generations of island residents and vacationers with a rich tradition of visiting Vinalhaven with their medical needs and leading the coordination of necessary dental, behavioral health and specialty care. You can exercise compassion and provide personal and complete care that was once offered by small town general practitioners.

This distinctive role calls for a broad skillset in preventive medicine and urgent care. With skilled peers and staff onboard, our emphasis is on a team-based approach to care to allow you to work at the top of your licensure. Requirements

Interested candidates must have a current, unencumbered license to practice in Maine with prescribing authority; current DEA and National Provider Identifier (NPI); eligible for MaineCare credentialing; board certified or board eligible; current CPR credential. Experience in emergency medicine, or a full spectrum rural clinic setting, and a passion for family medicine.
