We feature innovations in joint replacement, robotic surgery, pelvic health for women, cancer care, intensive care for newborns, neurosurgery, medical care for children and more.
At Legacy Salmon Creek, which is Joint Commission certified as a Primary Stroke Center, the 32 bed Emergency department at Legacy Salmon Creek, with 75,000 annual visits, increases to 48 beds in the afternoon utilizing a different area in the hospital to support pediatric care. 24-hour pediatric nursing support and a separate care area for children are available along with a pediatric Emergency MD 2pm-10pm daily. Improving patient flow and satisfaction by providing a unique triage intake process.
The Clinical Nurse Educator works in collaboration with unit leadership and Legacy Health Clinical Practice Support educational support structure to assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education, staff development activities and quality initiatives in the specialty unit or program area assigned. Activities include planning and coordinating unit-based educational activities, participation in design and implementation of the LH clinical processes; competency assessment and education of nursing staff; assessment of staff learning needs; and assisting with leading quality initiatives. Other activities will be defined by the unit leadership.
BSN required. The BSN requirement may be met for current Legacy employees who demonstrate that they are actively enrolled in an accredited program and are making meaningful progress toward completion of a BSN. Demonstrated evidence of course completion will be required at the end of each term, and will be tracked by the individual's manager.
Two years of relevant clinical experience at proficient to expert level of practice required. Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles as evidenced by the ability to facilitate learning for patients/families, nursing staff or other members of the healthcare team.

Knowledge of Lean and quality improvement principles; ability to apply Lean and quality improvement process.
