Job Description

Parkview Regional Hospital is opening an outreach clinic in nearby Fairfield, Texas to serve the patients on the outskirts of our service area. We are looking for a BC/BE family medicine provider who will provide outpatient care to the residents of the community in this clinic setting. The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in family medicine and have a passion for serving in a rural setting, be a self motivator and be comfortable to be in a solo practice. The compensation package includes a guaranteed base salary, RVU productivity incentive, robust benefits plan and student loan assistance. 


Fairfield is located on the I-45 corridor between Dallas and Houston with the DFW metroplex a short 65 minutes north and Houston 2 hours south. Abundant lakes allow the avid outdoorsman plenty of opportunities for fishing, boating and other water sports, as well as hunting. There are a number of festivals and events that happen in the community each year, including art shows, livestock events, and more.

The Community

Located at the north end of Limestone County, Mexia offers abundant natural beauty with rolling pastures and many lakes and rivers nearby. History lovers will appreciate the rich history of Historic Fort Parker, the site of a legendary battle between the Comanche Indians and settlers in the area.

Mexia Independent School District serves the K-12 education needs for the city, while Mexia is also home to a satellite campus of Navarro College for post-high school education. Additionally, a number of high quality preschools have been established to prepare the community’s youngest population for school.

Being the economic center of the region, Mexia is home to a number of retail chain stores and restaurants, as well as quaint specialty shops and eateries. 


With Ft. Parker State Park, the Confederate Reunion Grounds, Lake Mexia and Lake Limestone all nearby, as well as other lakes, rivers and parks, there are plenty of recreational activities for the whole family. Fishing, boating, hunting, walking, basketball, tennis, football, swimming, camping and golf are just a sampling of what visitors can enjoy. Additionally, a number of festivals and annual events provide even more entertainment, like the Mexia Rodeo, which has been named Rodeo of the Year eight times; Boomin’ on the 4th Independence Day Celebration and Skyfire; Mistletoe, Music and Magic Holiday Market; and Boomtown Days Car Show and Festival.

Additionally, Mexia is located within a comfortable drive to all of the social, recreational and cultural experiences available in Waco, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Bryan/College Station, Austin and Houston.
