Job Description

St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center is actively recruiting a Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our established Radiation Oncology, Cancer Center & Blood Institute team. This role offers complex, rewarding Hem/Onc care within a physician-friendly practice model that supports both professional fulfillment and work/life balance, as well as the opportunity to teach.

As a 145-bed general acute care hospital, we are the largest full-service regional medical center between Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Washington. With a Level III Trauma Center and more than 100 board‑certified physicians and providers in both primary care and specialty disciplines, we deliver advanced-level specialty healthcare to ensure every patient, and their loved ones, have everything they need to feel comforted, every step of their journey.

About the position:

  • Low call volume – infrequent hospital visits (<1x/month); primarily consultative with no admits or rounding
  • Call Schedule: 1 weekend/month and 1–3 weekday evening call shifts (4:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m.)
  • Care Model: Dedicated RN support for each provider (all clinical staff are RNs; no MAs); physician and NP follow the same patient panel together
  • Team: 2 Hem/Onc Physicians and 2 NPs; 3rd physician expected June 2026 with long-term locums support in the interim (no perm expected at this time)
  • Schedule: 36 patient care hours, 4 hours admin (flexible)
  • Clinic Hours: 8a–4:30p M–F
  • Dedicated phone triage nurse takes majority of first calls
  • Expected mature patient volume: 15+ /day; follow-up visits 30m /new 1h
  • EMR: Mosaiq

Qualifications:

  • BE/BC in Hematology/Oncology
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of ID and DEA with full prescriptive authority

  • Compensation: Base salary starts at $535,000 + wRVU production incentive OR pure production
