Inpatient Physiatrist — Gilbert, AZ | Flexible Schedule, Independent Contractor, Team-Based Rehab

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, in partnership with Dignity Health, is recruiting a Staff Physiatrist to join the interdisciplinary team at Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital in Gilbert, Arizona. This 40‑bed inpatient rehabilitation facility provides comprehensive services—including physical, occupational, and speech‑language therapies—to patients recovering from complex medical and functional impairments.

You will work alongside physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff to develop individualized care plans that prioritize patient-centered recovery and a positive healing environment. In collaboration with the Medical Director and Program Director (or CEO), you will deliver clinical care in accordance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations, including CMS and The Joint Commission standards.

Qualifications

• MD or DO license in good standing with the state of Arizona
• Current board certification in your specialty by a nationally recognized board
• Demonstrated training or experience in rehabilitation medicine through one of the following:
  • Formal residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), or
  • Minimum one‑year fellowship in rehabilitation, or
  • One‑year hospital internship plus at least two years’ experience in the medical management of inpatients requiring rehabilitation services
