Lovelace Medical Group is now hiring an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at its Heart Hospital location in Albuquerque. APPs consult on patients in the hospital for cardiac care and work in both LMC and HH. Census varies dependent upon inpatient volume. APPs support docs in two hospitals to ensure LOS is not prolonged and testing and care are provided promptly. They are also responsible for incoming calls from outside referring hospitals and providers.
· 2+ years cardiac cardiac-specific experience required
· Join a team of 25 physicians, 9 nurse practitioners, 4 physician assistants, and over 125 support staff members.
· Inpatient Only
· Hospital based position with AM shift and Swing shift with rotating weekend coverage, no call
· Prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases of the cardiovascular system
· Promote heart health and provide rehabilitation to those who've undergone surgery or treatment for heart ailments
