Gastroenterology Opportunity – Eastern New Mexico Medical Center

Roswell, New Mexico

Eastern New Mexico Medical Center (ENMMC) is seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join a highly respected, established GI group in Roswell, NM. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a busy, turnkey practice with strong community demand, growth potential, and a supportive hospital environment.

Position Highlights

Hospital-employed GI position with robust administrative and clinical support
Join a team of 2 Gastroenterologists
1:3 call schedule, covering a minimum of 10 call days per month
Flexible scheduling, including the option to discuss a 4-day workweek
Inpatient + Outpatient mix
Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Clinic volumes:
- Schedule built at 15/30-minute intervals
- Average 22–26 patients/day
Procedures: General GI; group is open to expanding advanced GI services (ERCP/EUS experience preferred but not required)
NP support available in clinic
Established referral network from primary care and multiple specialties
Opportunity to teach/mentor medical students rotating through the hospital
Must be board-certified and have completed U.S. residency
J-1 visa support available for 2026 candidates
Opportunity to participate in clinical research and clinical trials, supporting innovation and advancing GI care

Community Information - Roswell, NM

THE COMMUNITY
Roswell is located in the fertile Pecos Valley grasslands in southeastern New Mexico.

The city, with an estimated population of 50,000, has one of the lowest costs of living in the nation.
Affordable housing and one of the lowest property tax rates in the nation help make the community an attractive place to live.
A combination of agriculture, manufacturing, oil and gas provide a diversified economic base for the area.
Cultural attractions range from the Roswell Museum & Art Center to presentations by the Symphony Orchestra and the Community Little Theater.

RECREATION
Roswell is a garden spot with tree-filled parks, tennis courts, playgrounds, three golf courses, a city zoo and miles of walking and biking paths.
Sports leagues, tournaments and races are available year-round for children and adults.
Area attractions include Ski Apache, the state's second largest snow ski area, and Ruidoso Downs horse race track, both 75 miles away.
In July, the city hosts almost 50,000 visitors for the International UFO Festival.

Established in 1891, the New Mexico Military Institute is one of the oldest and most respected schools in the West. The co-ed military high school and junior college is built on a 40-acre campus.
