The Granbury Independent School District has soared in growth because of its proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and its beautiful setting on picturesque Lake Granbury. Since completion of Lake Granbury in 1969, the district has grown from a small, rural district to one with an enrollment of over 5,800 students. The district anticipates an average annual growth of four percent for the next 10 years.
