Job Description
- Schedule: 7-on / 7-off
- Shift Type: Overnight inpatient coverage
- Compensation: $180/hour
- Employment Type: W-2 hospital-employed (1099 considered)
- Fast-paced inpatient hospital environment
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care during overnight shifts
- Manage admissions, inpatient rounding, and cross-coverage
- Perform procedures including:
- Central line placement
- Intubations
- Code response and resuscitation management
- Collaborate with daytime hospitalists, specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams
- Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and evidence-based care
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Current Mississippi medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Procedural competency in lines, intubations, and codes required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to function independently in an overnight hospital setting
