Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiovascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
Position Overview:
- Responsibilities:
- Perform Saphenous and radial vein harvesting procedures
- Provide clinical support in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Assist in a variety of Cardiovascular Operating Room (OR) cases, averaging 3-8 cases per week
Clinical Support:
- Work closely with one Cardiovascular Surgeon
- Collaborate with other APPs to optimize patient care
- Utilize EPIC/Dragon for efficient electronic medical record keeping
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 7 am to 5 pm
- One clinic day per week (8 am to 4:30 pm)
- Four Inpatient/OR days per week
- Participation in on-call rotation:
- APPs take first call (ICU, ED, Outpatient)
- Weeknight/Weekend Call rotation divided among three APPs
- Vein Call rotation divided among two APPs
Requirements:
- Advanced Practice Provider certification
- Previous experience in Cardiovascular Surgery preferred
- Proficiency in EPIC/Dragon or similar electronic health record systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
