Locum Vascular Surgeon - 10-Day/Month Assignment

Duration: One 10-day stretch per month (Friday at 7 am through the following Monday at 7 am)

Job Description:

Our established healthcare practice is seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Vascular Surgeon to join our team for a 10-day assignment each month. This role involves seeing clinic patients, interpreting vascular studies, and performing necessary surgical procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled surgeon to contribute to a dynamic practice.

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
• Licensed in South Carolina for Medical Practice, Controlled Substance, and DEA
• Active CSR (Continuing Medical Education)

Assignment Details:

• Current practice with 2 permanent Vascular Surgeons
• Outpatient clinic hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
• Procedures required include, but are not limited to:

• Open and endo AAA
• TCAR, CEA
• Lower extremity angio/angioplasty/stenting, intra-arterial catheter-directed lysis
• Femoral endarterectomy, lower extremity open bypass (vein, cadaver vein, prosthetic)
• Lower/upper extremity thrombectomy
• Fistulogram and fistula declot
• Central line (tunneled and non-tunneled), DVT mechanical thrombectomy, IVC filter placement

• Midlevel support available Monday – Friday, 7 am – 3 pm
• Average patients per physician per day:

• Inpatient: Varies
• Clinic: 10-20 depending on provider

Desired Start Date and Coverage Dates Needed:

• ASAP; the locums provider will be added to the call schedule following a 1:3 rotation when available
