Community Psychiatrist Position in Western MA - Flexible Schedule

Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke, MA is seeking a Psychiatrist for their long term psychiatric unit managed in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. This is the perfect position for a psychiatrist interested in Community Psychiatry or who has completed a fellowship in Community Psychiatry. The patient average length of stay is 18 months which affords the psychiatrist time to formulate a diagnostic assessment, to develop effective pharmacological interventions and to experience a rewarding relationship with the patient. The experienced multidisciplinary team assists with all aspects of management including the progressive movement towards independence and ultimately an effective aftercare plan.
