Job Description

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a highly qualified Urologic Oncologist Physician to join our distinguished faculty in the Division of Surgery.

Based in Northeast Florida, Baptist MD Anderson brings an unprecedented level of oncology care to the Southeastern United States and provides physicians an appealing blend of community-focused patient care with the benefit of an academically oriented model.  Baptist Health is proud to be one of only six unique health systems in the United States chosen to replicate MD Anderson Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary and proven model of care and the Southeast patient care hub for MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson.

Baptist MD Anderson is the region’s epicenter for cancer care. We have dedicated buildings and locations in the Baptist system, including a new 300,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility.  Our distinguished multidisciplinary urologic oncology program is centered on a collaborative and integrated team approach that combines the expertise of pathology, radiology, medical and radiation oncology, surgery, psychology, navigation, rehabilitation, and survivorship programs and support.  Applicants will join a group that includes two existing fellowship-trained urologic oncologists, a general urologist, and several allied care providers.

  • Qualified candidates are board-certified or board-eligible with a distinguished record of accomplishment.
  • Fellowship sanctioned by the Society of Urologic Oncology.
  • Have the skills and experience necessary to establish and maintain an active clinical practice of urologic oncology with willingness and interest to perform general urology as needed.
  • Have the ability to develop productive areas of scholarship, a commitment to patient-centered multidisciplinary oncology care, and a level of achievement to warrant an adjunct academic appointment as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Surgery at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Northeast Florida is alive with miles of beaches and waterways, professional sports teams, a strong economy, championship golf courses, exceptionally diverse cultural and recreational opportunities, and abundant natural resources. Recently ranked by Forbes Magazine as one of the top two most desirable areas for relocation in the United States, the region is home to some of the best cost of living and quality of life experiences that the Sunshine State offers. Immediately within reach are world-famous destinations, attractions, theme parks, entertainment, and recreation for individuals and families of all ages.

Baptist MD Anderson is an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value which evolves from a diverse faculty.

Baptist Health is partnering with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to create the Baptist Health MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville.  MD Anderson is the largest freestanding cancer center in the world, ranked as one of the top two hospitals in cancer care by U.S. News and World Report.  Baptist Health of Northeast Florida provides state-of-the art care for all types of cancer and is a regional leader in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and education.  As one of only three health systems in the nation to become a partner member of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baptist Health is replicating the MD Anderson model of care, with full clinical and operational integration.  This means patients in the Southeast U.S. will be able to benefit from the same full range of multi-disciplinary care options as those available in Houston, including access to ongoing cancer research and select clinical trials.  The Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center team is seeking full-time, energetic and compassionate individuals for both inpatient and outpatient care to become part of our innovative, multi-disciplinary, highly integrated cancer program.
