Community Medical Center and the Advanced Pain and Spine Institute of Montana are seeking a fellowship-trained, board certified/eligible Anesthesiologist specializing in Pain Management to join our respected, hospital-based practice in beautiful Missoula.

Well-Established Practice: Advanced Pain and Spine Institute is the oldest and most trusted pain management clinic in Western Montana, serving the region since the mid-1990s.

Integrated Hospital Partnership: As part of Community Medical Center — the leading referral center for Western Montana and Northern Idaho — our clinic offers a collaborative, interdisciplinary model of care that prioritizes restoring function and quality of life.

Balanced Schedule: Full-time role with a flexible schedule split between in-clinic visits and fluoroscopy-guided procedures.

Strong Team: Join a busy team of 3 experienced physicians and 3 advanced practice providers, all focused on comprehensive pain management.

Modern Space: Practice in a newly constructed orthopedic center conveniently located adjacent to the hospital.

Collaborative Culture: Work in a supportive environment that treats the whole person, not just the pain.

Call Requirement: Light call — 10 days per month.
Scope of Services
Candidates should be comfortable managing:

Chronic back, neck, and joint pain

Cancer pain management
-
Opioid and non-opioid pain treatment

Ketamine infusions
-
Spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulator implantation & management

Intrathecal pump implantation & management
-
Neurolytic blocks
-
Lumbar discography
-
Radiofrequency ablation, including cooled techniques

Sympathetic blocks

Spinal injections & epidural blood patch

Rib blocks & continuous epidural placement

Joint & soft tissue injections
-
Kyphoplasty and Vertiflex procedures
