**Cardiology opening in Athens, AL**
Seeking a General Cardiologist to join our established group in our Athens, AL.
* Join more than 40 Cardiologists, 6 Cardiothoracic Surgeons and 4 cardiac anesthesiologists.
* The position carries excellent compensation and benefits (health/dental/malpractice/disability insurance), 401k and 457(b) as well as full-time CRNP services
* Board certification or eligibility required
The city of Athens has a population of approximately 27,000 people and is located in Limestone County, which has a population of around 100,000. Limestone County is bordered by the rolling foothills of the Appalachian Mountains to the North and the Tennessee River to the South. The area offers an abundance of water recreation, hiking, golfing, and family oriented sports activities.
Athens is the county seat of Limestone County and is a short 1.5 miles West of Interstate 65. In addition to activities in town, our proximity to the Interstate brings many other options for activities. Birmingham, AL and Nashville, TN are each less than 90 miles away.
